Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball

 

 

Article I – Name

 

Section 1          The league shall be known as Inland Valley Youth Football, hereinafter referred to as the “League”, a member of American Youth Football Inc., a non-profit corporation.

 

Section 2          The principal office of the Corporation in the State of California shall be located in the City of Temecula, County of Riverside, and State of California.

 

 

Article II -- Purpose

 

Section 1          The Mission of Inland Valley Youth Football is to enable our children to benefit from participation in the sports of football and cheerleading in a safe and structured environment. Through this active participation, the program teaches fundamental skill, values and knowledge that these young people will use throughout their lives.

           

Its further purpose is to obtain suitable and adequate financial support for the

organization and to own, lease or otherwise provide suitable playing facilities and equipment for these purposes. This purpose will be achieved by providing a supervised, safe environment where the participants will learn good sportsmanship and teamwork through the football and cheerleading.

 

 

Article III – Statement of Policy

 

Section 1:         It shall be the policy of this program to conduct activities for the benefit of the

physical health and moral welfare of the young people for whom it is organized. All matters of policy shall be determined on that basis.

 

Section 2:         No person who is a volunteer or employed by this organization or connected to it in any way shall receive any personal financial benefit beyond the reasonable value of products and services rendered in carrying out the functions of this organization.

 

Section 3:         It shall be the policy of the organization to prohibit any direct advertising of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products in connection with the organization or any of its programs.

 

Section 4          In order to secure suitable and adequate financial backing to carry out the purpose of the League, it shall be the policy of the League to permit only such sponsorship as is consistent with the purpose for which the League is organized and to select sponsors who are interested in the League solely or principally as a means of contribution to the welfare of young people.

 

Section 5          It shall be the policy of this League to support and defend the articles of this

Constitution and any violation shall be handled in accordance with the League by-laws and within the rules established by American Youth Football Inc.

 

 

Article IV – Membership

 

Section 1          Members shall be defined as, volunteer adult leaders, parents or guardians of players, team sponsors and other contributors, managers, coaches and other interested adults 18 or older.

 

Section 2          Membership requires that a person be in good standing with the league. All fees to the league are current and no derogatory record is on file with the league.

 

Section 3          Members eligible to vote at the annual meeting shall be defined as Parents/Guardians listed on the registration form for the current season. One vote per Parent/Guardian shall be permitted regardless of the number of children they have registered in the league. Managers, coaches, elected officers and current board members shall also be eligible to vote.

 

Section 4          Membership shall terminate (1) on receipt by the Board of Directors of the written or typed resignation of a member; (2) on the failure of a member to pay his fees on or before the due date; (3) on December 31st of any year at which time memberships shall be terminated, including all officials, coaches and all other members, exclusive of current and new Board Members; (4) on the death of a member.

 

 

Article V – Board of Directors

 

Section 1          The Board of Directors shall be those persons elected by the members of the League at the annual meeting for the terms and/or in the manner provided for in the by-laws of the League.

 

Section 2          In recognition of the general powers of the Board of Directors exercised by virtue of their office, they shall have the power to purchase or otherwise acquire for the League any property, right or privilege which the League is authorized to acquire by the League membership, at such price or consideration and upon such terms as the Board of Directors may deem expedient and is approved by vote of League membership, to appoint or remove or suspend subordinate agents or volunteers, and to determine their duties, to determine who shall be authorized, on behalf of the League, to sign bills, notices, receipts, acceptances, endorsements, checks, releases, contracts,

 

and other instruments, to delegate any of the powers of the Board of Directors to any committee, special committee or any officer or agent of the League, with any powers as the Board of Directors may see fit to grant, excluding voting rights and to generally do all such lawful acts and take actions as may be necessary and proper.

 

 

Article VI – Officers

 

Section 1          The officers of the League shall consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Athletic Director

 

Section 2          Officers must be elected by the membership at the annual meeting of the League membership.

 

Section 3          Should one of the officers seat be vacated, the Board of directors may elect another officer to fulfill the remainder of the term. This must be a vote by a 2/3 vote of the board

 

Article VII – Government

 

Section 1          The government of the League shall be under the direct supervision of the officers and the Board of Directors.

 

Section 2          All rules governing the playing of Football and Cheer, the legality of players and related questions shall be in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of American Youth Football, with such modifications adopted by the Board of Directors of the League.

 

Article VIII – By-laws

 

Section 1          Any By-laws, not consistent with this Constitution, embodying additional provisions for the government of the Corporation, shall be adopted and may be amended by the membership of the League at an annual meeting of the League membership

 

Article IX – Amendments

 

Section 1          This constitution may be amended only by a majority of the League membership in attendance at an annual meeting of the League membership, or a special meeting of the League membership called for that purpose.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CERTIFICATE OF SECRETARY

 

I, the undersigned, do hereby certify:

 

1. That I am the Secretary of INLAND VALLEY YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEER, a non-profit California corporation; and

 

2. That the foregoing Constitution, consisting of seven (3) pages and nine (9) Articles, constitute the Contitution of said Corporation as duly approved by the unanimous vote of the Board of Directors of this Corporation at a meeting of the Board of Directors duly held on this ____14th_____day of ___January________, 2010, in the Temecula, County of Riverside, State of California.
